I am wondering how far back you keep baptism records or if you keep them at all. Hers my reason: when I was born at Riverside my mother filled out my birth certificate form and my name was spelled Amie the state sent my birth certificate back Amy and my mother never corrected it as it isn’t as easy as it is today with online and so forth. I have always spelled it Amie as I am named after my great grandmother. Amie Alice which is my first and middle name. Anyhow I had a little bible from when I was baptized and my name on it was Amie Alice Edwards which I lost over ten years ago. I am trying to get my name spelled correctly on my birth certificate and I need to forms of evidence and one of those can be my baptism record and if you guys have records from 1981 then my name would be in there and it would be Amie. Please let me know if you still or ever kept records of baptisms. I was born April 29, 1981 and if I remember correctly as to what that little bible said that I had I was baptized in June of 1981.

Amy, We’re sorry this took so long to respond to you. Our website notification process was down and we did not know it. As for your request, we do keep records of baptism but we think you are confused about baptism as we don’t baptize babies. We think it might have been a parent/baby dedication ceremony that you’re thinking about and we don’t keep those records. We do give out bibles at that time. We believe that the decision to be baptized is to be made by the individual, not the parent. Again I’m sorry for the delay.
