We have several active outreach ministries, such as Operation Inasmuch. This ministry is new to us. We began in the fall of 2014 sending out a little over 100 people to minister in the local community. We had groups pressure washing homes, handing out water at the local bus station, lunches to local homeless shelters, washing, drying and folding clothes at area laundry mats, visited and gave manicures at local nursing homes and the block party where well over a hundred children and adults enjoyed hot dogs, snow cones, water, games and inflatables. We did this in the Spring of 2015 and added over 25 more people to go out and do it again. Even though we experienced snow flurries twice at the block party it didn’t dampen the children’s fun while they gathered Easter eggs and enjoyed all the games and puppet show.

On Thursday’s we offer a community Bible study followed with lunch and clothes closet. On average we serve over 475 meals weekly at no charge. This ministry started on October 7, 1997 with just a handful of volunteers and less than 50 people coming for lunch. Now we have over 40 volunteers and have had over 575 come for lunch. God has truly blessed this ministry many times over.

A few other ministries that we are actively involved with are the Operation Christmas Child ministry and the Pillowcase Dress Ministry. Both of these ministries reach out to children around the world.

It was good to read a break down of some of the ministries at the bottom. I would love to see the same type of break down for each group. That way the church can celebrate and be informed about the wonderful things God is doing through them as well.
