Sign Classes

The upcoming semester classes begin September 20, 2017.
Classes are held each Wednesday evening.
There is no charge for the classes.

  • ASL 1 Beginner Sign Class:  taught by Gina Harucki (6-7:30pm) Introduction to finger spelling
  • ASL 2 Beginner Sign Class: taught by Ben Harucki (6:30-7:30pm)

Needed materials:
Barron’s E-Z American Sign Language; Authors: David A. Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart, Lisa M. Dimling & Jessalyn Little. ISBN-13: 978-0764144585

Where to purchase ASL book? E-Bay, Amazon, WalMart or Barnes Noble. You can order on-line and please order ASAP to get book ready before class starts.

If you are attending Sign Language classes,
we invite you to our Wednesday Night Church Dinner (5:00-6:00pm).
Wednesday Night Dinners are by reservation only. 
Adults $5.00; Kids (9 years and under) $1.50

The dinner menu for September is…
September20th – Bar-B-Q Sandwich, Coleslaw, Baked beans, Dessert, Tea & Coffee
– Kids will have Corn Dog, baked beans, fruit, lemonade drink
September 27th –Spaghetti, Garden Salad, Texas Toast, Dessert Tea & Coffee (Kids will have the same)
On your first time to sign class, you will receive a coupon for 1/2 off a Wednesday Night Church Dinner.
Please call the church office (826-5772) to make your reservation by Monday before 4:30pm.

        At this time we do not have anything scheduled. We will be looking at winter classes sometime in January. Once the date has been set we will post it on our website. Thank you for your interest.

      I’m very sorry for this very late response. Sometimes our web host does not notify us in a timely manner which is the case today. I don’t have that answer for you. I have sent a request to our teachers to find out but have not heard back just yet. I believe they run ten or twelve weeks.

      We offer a Fall and a Winter class. At this time we don’t know for sure when the Winter classes will begin.

    When you have a class available I would love to take it. I am marrying a wonderful.man and both parents are deaf. I would love to learn for our ceremony and beyond.
