Senior Pastor Phil Richards I attended Bluefield State College, I have a bachelor's degree from Christian Bible College and Seminary, and I am currently working on my M Div. in Christian Counseling. I am married to my beautiful wife (Teresa) of 25 years and have two wonderful children (Marisa and Matthew), both of whom live on their own. I have a deep passion for teaching and preaching the Word of God, and spending quality time in prayer. I also enjoy all kinds of sports, especially basketball and golf. Many times, you will just find me, in my quiet time, playing the guitar or piano.

As a pastor, I seek to give of myself for the spiritual health and betterment of the church. To that end, I give God the praise and the glory, for He has, to my utter amazement, seen fit to use me in such a role. It is by God's grace alone that He has chosen me in this way, and I am humbled by such a great blessing.

I have, over the past 28 years, been blessed to be used by God to pastor some wonderful people. I have seen God do miraculous things with the time that He had given me at these churches, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for West Hampton Baptist Church.

Associate pastor of youth and worship Jordan Asbury I have the joy of serving as the Youth and Worship Pastor here. It's a pleasure to be part of a community where young hearts are ignited with the love of Jesus and where worship is a vibrant expression of our faith. In our youth ministry, we're all about journeying alongside students as they discover who Jesus is and how He transforms lives. Whether it's through engaging Bible studies, fun events, or simply being there to support and encourage them, it's a privilege to be part of their growth. When it comes to worship, there's nothing quite like lifting our voices together in praise and adoration. I'm here to lead and create an environment where we can connect with God in a meaningful way. Outside of church, you'll often find me enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my family, or diving into my studies at Liberty University where I'm pursuing a degree in Christian Counseling.
