WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT WEST HAMPTON THIS SUNDAY?

Friendly people are ready to welcome you into the life of this congregation.

We offer three different services on Sunday mornings.
At 8:30am we have a more traditional/blended style of service.

At 11:00am we offer two services, one for the deaf and hearing impaired and one that is a contemporary style of worship.

Whether you come  for the 8:30am service,  Sunday school at 9:45am, or for the 11:00am services you will be greeted at the door by a church member who will help you find your way. We have a wonderful group of teachers ready to welcome you into the conversation.

We believe God is the audience in worship, and the congregation and worship leaders direct prayer and praise to God. We believe the point of worship is not to put on a show or entertainment, but ascribing praise and thanksgiving to the triune God. Therefore, we don’t see the congregation as the “audience”. We try to remember that the audience is God, and congregation and worship leaders are all involved in directing prayer and praise to God. More than the genre, our worship is characterized by the energy, intimacy, reverence and joy infused in our sanctuary each Sunday.

No matter what time or which service you come to, you will be welcomed. There is a space just for you.

This is so true. Brian is a gifted Spirit lead pastor and the music helps usher you into the presence of God himself. The Deaf services are held in the (beautifully renovated) old sanctuary and all worship opportunities are done in ASL (American Sign Language). We have persons who voice the 11am Sunday worship service for those with limited sign experience. All persons are welcome to enjoy the creative heart stirring messages brought by Pastor Brad. We have an enthusiastic Deaf worship/music leader and choir who sign contemporary songs which the congregation are active participants. We look forward to seeing you in any of our services-ALL ARE WELCOME!
